An extensive cyberattack on ORPAK Systems, a well-known Israeli supplier of control solutions for petrol stations, has been blamed on the hacker collective CyberAv3ngers. On their Telegram channel, the attackers posted the stolen database.

Media reports state that a cyber attack shut down 200 petrol pumps in Israel, which caused many petrol stations in Tel Aviv and Haifa to close. On their Telegram channel, CyberAv3ngers also shared documents and recordings from some petrol stations' CCTV cameras.

One of the largest privately owned power plants in the nation, the Dorad power plant in Ashkelon, was recently attacked by the hacking group Cyber Av3ngers. The group has previously taken credit for attacks on an oil refinery and power supply systems in Israel.

Recall that in 2018, Israeli cybersecurity researchers found a number of flaws in the ORPAK Systems automated petrol station management system, which is utilized by thousands of petrol stations worldwide. The flaws could shut down fuel pumps, intercept payments and steal credit card information from users, connect to networks to operate security cameras and other systems, and deactivate fuel pumps. A perpetrator may also alter fuel prices and take petrol.
